11 CP:  We will go to the library to check out The Great Gatsby. When we return, we will read "The Moderns" (746-751), "Modernism" (841), and "Meet the Writer: F. Scott Fitzgerald" (856-857). ​
ERWC: Read Chapter 20: Celtic Fairyland (pages 292-311) in Myths and Their Meanings. Answer questions 1-37 on pages 315-316.

Friday, March 13
End of the Quarter
11 CP: Discuss how The Great Gatsby is and example of "The Great American Novel" and answer the 6 Pre-reading questions on the "Gatsby Guided Reading Question" handout.
ERWC: Pass back all 3rd quarter papers and final, third quarter grade reports. Finish yesterday's assignment with the class time remaining. This will be due by the end of the period.

Monday, March 16
One Hour Early Out for Principal's Meeting

11 CP: Directions will be given for the course work that will be assigned during the closure. All students have checked out The Great Gatsby (last Thursday). All have been given the "Gatsby Guide" as well as the "Guided Reading Questions." Students have been instructed to check this Calendar daily for pacing purposes and to email me with any questions. All hard copies of work will be turned in to me upon the re-opening of the school. Students also need to review all Quarter Three Vocabulary words. You may do so by clicking on the 11 CP tab on my website to do some Quizlet reviews.

Return all student papers from quarter 3. Students in periods 1 & 2 will given a print-out of their final, third quarter grades. Periods 4 & 7 will get theirs tomorrow.

ERWC: Students will go to the library to check out the Oedipus Trilogy. A work packet for the school closure will be given and explained. All work will also be uploaded unto my Google Classroom so that any students absent this week will still have access to the material. Students are to retain hard copies of their work which will be turned in upon the re-opening of the school. Please do not submit your work to Google Classroom.
