Distance Learning
Greetings!
Our situation is changing daily. To help you navigate your assignments, and to keep you posted on current developments, I have added this tab to my website.
On April 1st, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom proclaimed that schools would remain closed for the remainder of the school year. He also announced that distance learning would continue throughout the end of May. In an effort to make that happen, I will be using the Calendar tab of this website to communicate to you your daily assignments, and a Google Classroom to collect your work.
On Monday, April 20th the Kern High School District announced its 2019-2020 Spring Semester Pass/No Pass grading policy. Students who earned an A, B, C, or D for the third quarter will receive a Pass grade for the semester. Students who earned an F will receive a No Pass grade (unless they complete the distance learning assignments, at which point they can earn a Pass grade).
Even though most students have already passed the semester based upon their third quarter grade, school is still in session until Friday, May 29th. Though there will be no grade repercussions if students do not turn in their work, it is expected that students will continue to do their assignments until the end of the school year. As such, I will continue assigning work each week for the purposes of enrichment and skill development.
InstructionsPlease visit the Calendar tab of this website each day to view your assignments, and visit your Google Classroom to turn in the work. You can email me at
[email protected] with any questions that you may have. |
Juniors (11 CP)Your assignments are noted in green on my Calendar. Before the closure I did not have a Google Classroom for you. I have since created one. I have one classroom for all four periods (2, 3, 4, and 7). Please join by using the following code: ee2ry23

Seniors (ERWC)Your assignments are noted in blue on my Calendar. Originally, I had planned on having you turn in hard copies of your work to me, but due to the school closure, I have had to develop alternative options which will be outlined on our already established Google Classroom.
