Lesson Six 

 1.  RECANT-  To formally withdraw

 5.  AUDITORY-  Having to do with the sense of hearing

 4.  ENAMORED-  Fond of; feeling love towards 
 5.  AMIABLE-  Good-natured; cheerful 
 6.  AMICABLE-  Not bitter or hostile; friendly 
 7.  ANTAGONIZE-  To act hostile towards; provoke 
 8.  PROTAGONIST-  The central character in a work of literature 
 9.  ANTAGONIST-  One who is hostile towards; one who opposes 
10. PHILOSOPHICAL-  Calm and wise; reasonable 
11. PHILANTHROPY-  Charitable donation to public causes 
12. BIBLIOPHILE-  One who loves books

 1.  IMPEDIMENT-  Something that gets in the way; obsolete
 2.  EXPEDIENT-  Providing results quickly; practical and effective
 3.  PEDESTRIAN-  Lacking excitement; ordinary and dull
 4.  PEDANT-  One possessing abundent knowledge of minor, often uninteresting things
 5.  PEDAGOGUE-  A teacher, especially one who is dull and narrow-minded 
 6.  TRAVESTY-  A bad imitation of, a perversion of 
 7.  VESTED-  Significant to one's own profit or well-being 
 8.  VESTMENT-  Clothing worn to symbolize religious or political authority 
 9.  DIVEST-  To strip or remove a title or position of authority 
10. CORPOREAL-  Having to do with the body 
11. CORPULENT-  Extremely fat; obese 
12. INCORPORATE-  To bring together fearures, ideas, or elements

Lesson Nine

 1.  UNIFORM-  The same all the way through; consistent 
 2.  UNISON-  In one voice 
 3.  UNANIMOUS-  Showing complete agreement 
 4.  MONOLOGUE-  A speech made by a single person 
 5.  MONOPOLIZE-  To use or take so as to prevent others from using/taking 
 6.  MONOGAMY-  Marriage to only one person 
 7.  MONOLITHIC-  Exactly the same throughout; lacking any diversity 
 8.  HOMONYM-  A word spelled exactly like another word, but having a different meaning 
 9.  HOMOGENIZED- Forced to be exactly the same
10. EQUITABLE-  Fair; just
11. EQUILIBRIUM-  Balance; steadiness 
12. INIQUITY-  Injustice; wrong or wicked action or situation

 2.  BENEFACTOR-  A person who gives friendly aid 
 3.  BENIGN-  Causing no harm 
 4.  ACCORD-  Sameness of opinion; agreement

 6.  CORDIAL-  Warmly friendly and polite 
 7.  ANIMOSITY-  Anger or hostility 
 8.  EQUANIMITY-  Evenness of mind or spirit; calm 
 9.  MAGNANIMOUS-  Generous in spirit 
10. DISMAL-  Causing great sadness or pessimism 
11. MALEVOLENT-  Wishing harm towards; hostile 
12. MALICIOUS-  Intended to hurt or harm
